Hi there. Nice job, it must sound very good. I'm modifying my own little board with a PCM2704 also. I have noticed one thing that you have not done when you converted your board from bus-power to self-power: the 1.5K pull-up resistor on D+ should not be connected to 3.3V when the USB power is not available. I have thought of using an and gate to do this, but maybe a transistor may do just as well.
Just a suggestion!
